Growth Based on Long-Term Client Relationships

We have no preconceived products or solutions. We listen so that we can help you identify your needs and deliver solutions that meet those needs most effectively.  It begins during the proposal process with a thorough review of your current plan, stop loss arrangements, and understanding your objectives. Then, it continues with high-quality management information and regularly scheduled account management communication when you are a client.

Financial Strength

To be a leader in the group benefits market today and in the future, a company must have the financial strength to invest in technology and experienced staff.

Today, Central Benefits is financially stronger than at any other time in our 65-year history. With more than $48 million in reserves, we are placed in a very strong reserve position for a company with the self-insured/insured business mix that Central Benefits possesses. And this strong financial position continues to grow stronger due to a profitable bottom line.

Unlike Central Benefits, many group benefits administrators do not have financial reserves and are forced to operate strictly from cash flow. As such, they have no financial resources to invest in technology updates and are literally only a single business interruption away from closing their doors.

Central Benefits' strong financial position means the company has the resources to invest in the state-of-the-art technology once reserved for only the few largest insurance companies. Our strong financial position also tells you that Central Benefits is the obvious choice to partner with as a benefits administrator. We're here today building a bright future, and will be in business to solve your benefits problems tomorrow as well.

Mission

"Our mission is to save our customers money and provide impeccable customer service in the managing of comprehensive benefits administration."

Many years ago, the affiliated companies of CenBen USA adopted a philosophy that an investment in the community is an investment in the future. Coming to the aid of those less fortunate helps to build a prosperous, thriving community for us all.

Central Benefits and the other affiliated companies of CenBen USA support a number of great causes including, but not limited to; ARC Industries, Arkansas Children's Hospital, American Red Cross, Bobby Rahal Children's Charities, Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Heinzerling Foundation, Marburn Academy, Meals on Wheels, The Race for the Cure, Recreation Unlimited, United Negro College Fund, and the United Way.

One of our most notable commitments is the Central Benefits Health Care Foundation. Founded in 1997, the Central Benefits Health Care Foundation supports preventive health care for low-income children under the age of six and the prenatal care of expectant mothers.

Since its initial $5.1 million dollar endowment, the Central Benefits Health Care Foundation has granted $1.3 million dollars including:

  • A $500,000 grant to create the Community Action for Playground Safety (CAPS) Program. With the goal of reducing the number of recreational injuries to children; the CAPS Program is creating and distributing injury prevention educational materials, purchasing and distributing free bicycle helmets and, rehabilitating 38 neighborhood playgrounds. Additionally, this grant enabled the CAPS Program to receive $250,000 in matching funds from the Healthy Tomorrows Partnership for Children Program, a joint program of the federal Maternal and Child Health Bureau and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
  • A $500,000 grant to the Center for Injury Research and Policy at Children's Hospital to aid in the Center's mission is to reduce death and disability to children resulting from injury.
  • A $300,000 grant to Children's Hospital to improve the dental health of at-risk children. This gift supports education of expectant parents, dental care providers and other care providers about prevention of primary tooth decay in children under the age of three. The grant also creates a referral network of providers for young children with a high risk of developing dental problems. Funds from the grant will be used to develop a coordinated system of pre-natal and post-natal preventive oral health care using a network of trained medical providers. These providers will receive clinical tools to assess risk, to identify early signs of tooth decay and to use fluoride therapy appropriately. In addition, the grant will be used to support preventive health care for indigent children, and adults.

Today, the Central Benefits Health Care Foundation is valued at over $5.9 million dollars. The Board of Trustees is currently considering future grants related to a number of childhood health care issues including; asthma, obesity, immunizations, disparities in health care among specific populations, and child abuse.
